Wes Jackson

Wes, a native of the Bronx, NY and co-founder of the Brooklyn Crescents Lacrosse Club, started playing lacrosse at the Buckley School in Manhattan. Unfamiliar with the game he followed his football and basketball coach and learned the Game of the Creator.  Wes continued playing at The Lawrenceville School where he was a part of the school's nationally ranked undefeated team. After graduating from the University of Virginia, Wes returned to New York and settled in Brooklyn where he began his career in music, entertainment and marketing running his company Brooklyn Bodega and producing the annual Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival.  Looking to play lacrosse again, he met Dan Sheff and L'Quentus Thomas. He joined the coaching staff of the Brooklyn Admirals with Thomas and Sheff, where he met Crescents co-founders Kassim Howell, Susan Murray, and Jessica O'Brien.  Wes lives in Clinton Hill and is excited to be coaching his own kids who are now old enough to play.

Todd Ernst

Boys Program Director

Todd played lacrosse for Horace Greeley High School in Chappaqua New York where he was a Midi and also a face-off specialist.  Todd is also the parent of two Brooklyn Crescents, Owen and Alex who have been with the club for five years, getting their start as Pee-Wees with Coach Kassim.....still their favorite coach.  Todd is a US Lacrosse Level 1 certified coach and also trained and certified to administer CPR.  He is a strong believer in the Positive Coaching Alliance, "PCA," whose double goals are always striving to win, but more importantly the life lessons of being a good sportsman, teammate, and for the boys to always do their best!

Over that time, I have been exposed to championship level coaching, I am also a parent of a Crescent and stood on the sideline for two years, learning the game, and helping my son and his friends work on their skills outside of practice. As a coach, I am dedicated to providing a safe and fun environment for your child, as we all engage in competition together.
